LEELAND
Name: Leeland TegmarkAge: 18
Gender: Male
Birthday: Summer 20th
Occupation: Bookkeeper
Personality: This young man knows what he wants and he gets it. Maybe. Unless someone challenges him. Or makes fun of him. See, Leeland can be pretty driven and confident, but his insecurities can easily stunt him and slow him down, be it social, romantic, or in business. He tries to dress impeccably to make up for how self conscious he is about his weight. He is delicate and polite but will get dryly snarky if he feels comfortable. Leeland is a writer and is always trying to write the perfect fantasy book. Besides reading. writing, and running his shop, Leeland likes to catch up on his favorite shows and go around visiting his fellow villagers. He likes to find calm, comfy, aesthetically pleasing places to daydream sometimes. He does dream of finding someone to be sweet to, but he would not be able to notice anyone's affections, because he doesn't think anyone would want to be with him -he would have to be caught during one of his bold streaks.
Appearance: Leeland is a short, (5' 3"), chubby boy. He has a round face and big round pale blue eyes that sit behind square glasses. His dark brown hair is thick and always neat. He has tan skin, a big nose, and unusually plump lips. His eyebrows are dark and thick and usually furrowed. He is well dressed, often wearing earthy toned sweater vests and bow ties. He has fine posture.
Background: Leeland grew up near Meadow View and would visit often in his childhood to see his aunt. He fell in love with her book store, Bookbound, and decided that his life's dream was to own it one day after his aunt retired. He had a quiet, cushy childhood with a lot of reading. When he turned 16 he moved into town to live with his aunt and learn to be a bookkeeper. Shortly after getting the hang of things around town and in his job, his aunt left to travel- "Anywhere wild" - she said. Leeland alone took over the shop after that. Recently he has been looking for someone else to come help with the shop so he can free up some more time for himself.
Area of Home: Shopping District (Above his book shop)
Title: Bookbound
Bookbound is a lovely little second-hand bookshop. It is well kept but very stuffed - shelves and shelves fill the walls. Little handwritten labels are everywhere. ("Self-help" "Arts and Crafts" "Children" "Popular Fiction" "Comics") A small area with couches is wedged in a back corner. The shop smells musty. Leeland is usually found sitting behind the small check out counter, concentrating and scribbling something or going through new donations of books.
