Name: Courtland Atticus Yuriev
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Birthday: Winter 15
Occupation: Unemployed
Residence: Meadow View Inn
Journal: Courtland's Chronicle
Art Of: Courtland's Selfies
Personality: Courtland has about as much social grace as a beheaded chicken. He's terrible at starting conversations, and jokes shoot through one ear and out the other 9 out of 10 times. Overall space case who's still at the stage of life where he thinks life is more adventure and destiny than mortgage and taxes. He'll relapse into a childhood stutter if you make him nervous or put him under pressure. He's a hard 'n' honest worker, but considering how often he gets lost in his empty head, it's surprising he gets any work done at all. Nice boy if you like them young and stupid.
Courtland likes writing bad poetry, taking amateur photographs of clouds and trees, napping in the great outdoors, and daydreaming about the future. He has a chronic fear of dogs that stems from a childhood trauma where one made him pee himself.
Appearance: Standing at 5'10" and 157 pounds, Courtland has dark skin, brown eyes, sloppy black hair with a slight curl, a mole/"beauty mark" under his right eye, and a smattering of barely visible freckles across his cheeks and nose. He's fairly fit for a 19 year old boy, although he does have a little bit of tub on his tum tum. Decently looking with strong facial features and nice arms. His hygiene is pretty good, but he always looks a little disheveled regardless.
Courtland dresses mainly in old, faded t-shirts, well-fitting dark jeans (usually worn 'n' torn, but he does have one nice pair for special occasions), and ankle-height boots. His idea of accessorizing is usually a dusty bandanna around his neck and a couple of bracelets. In general, he looks like the type of college freshman who might whip out an acoustic guitar at any second and start poorly playing indie bullshit on it. Thankfully the gods have blessed Courtland with no musical talent whatsoever, so he won't be able to terrorize Meadow View with the newfangled music of rotten teenagers just yet.
Background: Courtland is a little lost in life. After having spent the first 9 years of his life with only the sun and apple trees for company, Courtland's surroundings drastically changed when his parents moved from a sprawling orchard in the country to a modest apartment in the middle of the city. In this new and unfamiliar environment, Courtland found himself having trouble making friends and fitting in with the crowd. After three years of seclusion and a messy divorce between his parents, the mischievous and playful boy of Courtland's childhood was all but gone. In his place was a quiet and reserved child who stuttered when he spoke and rarely looked his peers in the eyes. Following several years of speech therapy and a troubled high school career marked with poor to average grades and short lived friendships, Courtland packed his bags and decided to follow every young man's dreams of independence and adventure. Which is how he found himself in Meadow View; in need of a job and a handful of good friends to keep his head out of the clouds.
