Name: Magdalene "Magma" Carter
Age: Seventeen
Gender: Female
Birthday: Autumn First
Occupation: Unemployed, looking for work.
Personality:
Magdalene can be best described as a girl who lets her tongue guide her. She has always relied heavily on her wit, as though it will hide her true self. Quick to make the snidest of comments without a second thought or regret, Magma's sarcasm and dry sense of humor are the fundamentals of her individuality. To others these remarks often come across as rude, a statement which she has no right or desire to deny. Overall, Maggie really doesn't care what others think when it comes to her hard outer shell. She gives off a natural air of being brazen and audacious, almost anything akin to bold.
The way that Magma interacts with others is like a game of Risk. There is a necessity for control that makes her domineering, bordering on militant. Like an emperor, the two things she desires most are knowledge and power. However, she is not up for the task of working to acquire the information she seeks. This leaves Magdalene right back where she started often enough, frustrating her to no end. Her fuse is short and quick to catch flame, one reason of many that others attempt to distance themselves from Magma. The characteristics she has been graced with are not the most desirable ones by far, leaving her alone most days. Not thinking this issue to be of her creation, she really doesn't mind the lack of attention. It's for the best, considering the fact that Magma does have a snicker or two at each individual who dares to pass by.
Appearance:
Magma has always been one of those people who avoids flaunting their features, hiding herself behind a large shirt tucked into a pair dilapidated jeans. However, the warm, over-sized clothes that she generally dons often gets caught on things. The most constant facet of her attire is a pair of worn black industrial-style boots, which appears to be the only footwear she owns.
Under the layers of clothes that she uses to ensure her warmth is a slight, although almost lacking, figure. Although she appears to be just skin and bones, lean muscles do lie underneath. Unfortunately, as a result, Magdalene lacks classical feminine curves. This fact makes her insecure, however hesitant she would be to publicly admit. In sharp contrast to the rest of her body, the girl's face is somewhat rounded. Being a "late bloomer", her features are just beginning to distinguish themselves. A defined button nose sits itself atop a pair of pale rose lips, sufficiently blending with her porcelain skin. Magdalene's eyes are deep green-grey color, flecked with hints of blues and browns, hailing from her father's side of the family, although their spherical shape and short eyelashes were inherited from her mother, along with her thick but well shaped eyebrows. Despite her eyes' near-black hue, they always appear to be as bright and vibrant as a flickering candle-flame. At times they can be truly dazzling.
Her hair, almost black as night, falls down her back in choppy wisps, numerous layers adding to its absolute volume. The locks ends at her upper back, around her shoulder blades, with self-cut bangs to match her split ends. She normally throws it up into a spiky ponytail, not caring for the upkeep that hair requires.
Background:
Magdalene is an outsider, new to the small town of Meadow View. She drifted in like the wind a few weeks ago, a small pack of clothing and keepsakes on her shoulders. She's a young wanderer, a rebel, so to speak, having escaped from her family in a city far, far off. The girl's father is a balding man of forty six, a novelist whose house is crammed with papers and ink. Although she did care for him, he was often absent, and Magdalene quickly grew restless. She left her home in pursuit of her long-gone mother, a small-time thief that the youth hasn't seen since she was nearly six years old. However, the girl did catch up to her mother recently, and was severely disappointed by the woman she found, unlike that of the one who nurtured her. Magma then decided to keep traveling on her own, and winded up here. She's tired, and thinks that at this point she'll rest from her travels for a while. After all, she needs money to continue on.
