It's been a long time since the last time I played in a forum RP, so I guess I need to ask what the proper etiquette is for these things.
Do I need to set up a thread ahead of time over PMs? Can I just make a new thread in a store subforum and expect people to participate (is that rude to assume they'd want to RP with me in the first place?)
I think everyone has their own styles! There is a rp-planning board for general planning, the ooc chat, or you can just make threads places! There are labels you can put on a thread when you make it where you can mark it as open to indicate it is open to all! I personally would welcome someone just making a thread in my farm subforum but I'm not sure if that goes for everyone?

Same; if it's somewhere where Mira would be expected to be (ie, at her farm) then just posting in the Rigel Ranch subforum would be fine with me. If there's a specific outcome or scenario people would like to run IN that RP, a PM saying "Hey, this is what I'd like to do/accomplish in 'Insert Thread Name Here' can we do some on-the-fly planning" would be polite, but otherwise, I'm up for it.
If it's somewhere Mira wouldn't necessarily be expected to be, like the Inn or by the river or something, and you'd specifically want to RP something there, either see if I've got an open thread in that area, or send me a PM.
